MINO RAKUSUI MI54

MINO RAKUSUI are Japanese papers made from MINO with the typical RAKUSUI (water droplet) pattern. The thinner areas in the RAKUSUI papers are created by "sprinkling" the still soft paper with drops of water during the paper-making process.

The RAKUSUI Japanese papers are almost transparent in the water drop patterns and relatively opaque in the thicker areas.

MINO RAKUSUI Japanese papers can be mounted on frames like shopji papers. This works particularly well as a colorful accent next to white papers, as a shoji, screen or lampshade. When stretching, they are glued on with shoji paper paste and then moistened. The papers then stretch themselves when they dry.

MISO RAKUSUI papers are also used as wrapping paper, for high-quality packaging and for handicrafts.
