Description

KOZO Muji S111, shoji paper natural white, fine cloud structure

natural-colored shoji paper made from 100% fine white kozo mulberry fibers

Shoji papers are thin, translucent, translucent white or natural-colored Japanese papers that are mainly used for covering lattice frames, screens and sliding shoji doors. Shoji papers diffuse and distribute the light from lamps or fluorescent tubes beautifully, so that they can be used to create large lighting objects easily and inexpensively. Despite their high translucency, shoji papers are largely opaque. Shoji papers are glued to wooden frames with a removable natural tapioca-based starch paste and then lightly moistened. They then stretch themselves as they dry.

KOZO shoji papers are natural-colored, very high-quality shoji papers made from pure natural material. The kozo fibers are extracted by hand from the inner bark of the kozo bush (paper mulberry tree), processed and sorted. The long and strong mulberry fibers give the KOZO shoji paper the classic fine cloud structure and an amazing strength and toughness.

KOZO Muji Shoji papers are classic Shoji papers that have been produced almost unchanged for many centuries. Although KOZO papers are now made in rolls on a long-wire machine, they have retained their handmade, natural character. They are particularly well-suited for traditionally Japanese-style interiors and classic tea rooms.

In addition to covering high-quality shoji sliding doors and screens, shoji papers made from mulberry fibers can also be used for beautiful lampshades, calligraphy, printing and a wide variety of handicrafts.

Very beautiful paper. The results are wonderful for both shoji and lampshades.
I used standard wallpaper paste in a syringe from the pharmacy to glue the paper. This worked perfectly for me as I don't expect to have to replace the paper in the foreseeable future. Stretching with distilled water also worked perfectly. YOU NEED TO KNOW: The smooth side of this paper is UP when you unroll it
